Applications of the Divisional Charts in Vedic Astrology.

 Varga Charts, also known as divisional charts, are a profound and detailed feature of Vedic Astrology that allows astrologers to understand different areas of a person’s life with exceptional clarity. Each chart, divided based on specific mathematical calculations of the main birth chart (Rashi chart), reveals insights into a particular domain such as wealth, relationships, profession, spiritual growth, and more.

The following below are important divisional charts which we generally use to predict various events of life:

1. Rashi (D1 Chart).
Application: This is the main birth chart and represents the overall personality, life path, and general well-being. It’s the foundation of all astrological analysis.

2. Hora (D2 Chart).
Application: Focuses on wealth and prosperity. It provides clues about financial status, money flow, and the ability to accumulate assets.

3. Drekkana (D3 Chart).
Application: Reflects the condition of siblings and the quality of relationships with them, along with the individual’s courage and communication.

4. Chaturthamsha (D4 Chart).
Application: Concerned with luck, fortune, and residence. It can reveal insights into inherited property and spiritual blessings.

5. Saptamsha (D7 Chart).
Application: Indicates matters related to children and grandchildren. It shows the joy or challenges one may face through offspring.

6. Navamsa (D9 Chart).
Application: One of the most important divisional charts, it governs marriage, spouse, and dharma (life purpose). It also serves as a backup chart to confirm the strength of planets in the Rashi.

7. Dashamsha (D10 Chart).
Application: Represents career, profession, and success in all worldly matters. It is often used for assessing public reputation and achievements.

8. Dwadashamsha (D12 Chart).
Application: Related to parents, their lives, health, and the kind of relationship shared with them.

9. Shodashamsha (D16 Chart).
Application: Shows a person’s connection to vehicles, luxuries, and conveyances.

10. Vimshamsha (D20 Chart).
Application: Related to spiritual progress, religious tendencies, and inner growth.

11. Chaturvimsamsa chart (D24 Chart).
Application: Governs education, learning capacity, and intellectual abilities. Useful in determining academic success.

12. Saptavimsamsa (D27 Chart).
Application: Reveals a person’s strengths and weaknesses, particularly at the physical and mental level.

13. Trimshamsha (D30 Chart).
Application: Focuses on miseries, misfortunes, and disasters. It can highlight hidden weaknesses and karmic debts.

14. Khavedamsha (D40 Chart).
Application: Used to assess auspicious or inauspicious events and their karmic patterns in life.

15. Akshavedamsha (D45 Chart).
Application: A comprehensive chart that reflects everything overall — used to confirm traits seen across multiple charts.

16. Shashtiamsha (D60 Chart).
Application: One of the most refined divisional charts. It delves into karmic influences and past life imprints. Also used for final judgment in horoscope analysis.
